My illustrations accompany Brian Aldiss’ epic poem and depict the colossal world of Pile, a city without physical or imaginative boundaries. Prince Scart, the ruler of Pile, travels to the mirror-world of Elip in a vain attempt to prevent his realm from buckling under its own weight.
